Remote Access
The REMOTE chip in the top bar appears while remote access is turned on, so whoever is at the robot can always see that this ARCx can be reached through synthiam.com, and whether anyone is connected right now.
Where to find it: Top bar, to the right of the system status chip. It is only there while Allow remote access is on in Options → Preferences, Remote access.
Contents
The chip
| Looks like | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Globe, REMOTE | Online. Nobody is connected through remote access. |
| Globe, REMOTE and a number, tinted green | Online, with that many people connected through remote access. |
| Cloud with arrows, dimmed | Registering, connecting or reconnecting to synthiam.com. |
| Crossed out globe, dimmed | Remote access is on but cannot work yet: ARCx is not signed in, or something needs your attention. |
Hover over the chip to see who is connected, or why it is not online. Click it to open Options → Preferences, Remote access, which lists everyone connected and can disconnect them.
Notes
- People connected through remote access see the chip too, in their own browser.
- The number counts sessions, so one person with ARCx open on two computers counts twice.
- On a phone the chip shows only its icon and number.
