Adding Robot Skill Errors

If you see an error while loading a Robot Skill, such as a message about a missing component, there are several possible causes. In many cases, the issue can be resolved by updating ARC, updating the Robot Skill, or refreshing the Robot Skill cache.

Outdated ARC

ARC may be outdated and require an update. If so, visit the ARC download page and reinstall the latest version of ARC.

Robot Skill Requires an Update

The Robot Skill itself may need to be updated. When you launch ARC while connected to the internet, a dialog will appear showing any available Robot Skill updates that need to be installed.

Force Robot Skill Updates

In rare cases, Robot Skills can become out of sync. If that happens, you may need to clear the Robot Skill cache and start fresh. You can do this by closing ARC and removing the Plugins folder, which contains the Robot Skill libraries. The next time you open ARC and load your project, you will be prompted to download and install the missing Robot Skills.

This gives ARC a clean starting point and often resolves loading issues caused by incomplete or mismatched Robot Skill files.

  1. Close ARC.
  2. Navigate to C:\ProgramData\ARC.
  3. Delete the Plugins folder.
  4. Launch ARC again.

Still Doesn't Work?

If the Robot Skill still will not load, post the exact error message on the forum so the issue can be reviewed. In some cases, the Robot Skill may be outdated because the developer is no longer maintaining it. Our staff may be able to suggest a workaround, but we will need the exact error details first.
