Movement Panel Modified Servos Left/Right Backwards

Hey folks, I have my wall-e set up after about a year in hibernation. When last I tinkered with him, the movement panel turned him the "correct" way (absolute). However, after upgrading the firmware and software, it is now backwards. No wiring or servo position has changed. Back and forth are fine, but left right are reversed. Any clues? Reversing...

Sf Bay Area Get Together And Hack?

Hey, I blew the dust off my wall-e after taking a year to get my career back on track. Looking to see if there are enough folks in the Bay area to do a meet-up one night or weekend to compare projects, compare notes, have a beer (or soft drink) and some food?

Firmware Fail

Hi folks. Been awhile since I've been here. Blew the dust off my Wall-e and went to upgrade the firmware. Got about 3/4 of the way (twice), but it failed. Third time I tried, I get this response over and over again: EZ-Robot OS Updater Version: 2014.05.25.00 5/26/2014 12:29:15 PM - Begin 5/26/2014 12:29 PM - Attempting connection on COM4 5/26/2014...

Step-Down Voltage Regulator Gets You 3.3V Dc

Hey folks. Just ordered a few of these: AMS1117-3.3 Step-Down Voltage Regulator Adapter with 3.3V DC output. And they are easy to install and use; and also have Low power consumption. Power In: 4.5--7V DC Power Out: 3.3V DC with Max 800 mA Current. They are good for those applications where you need to get 3.3 volts to "something". In my case, it...

Another Alternative Mp3 Trigger?

Has anyone tried this board to see if it works with our system? mdfly AU5032 Looks like it should work exactly like the AU5106, but seems to require a Logic Level Converter Thoughts?

Sendserial Question

DJ, is it possible that there is a bug in SendSerial? I have an alternate MP3 board that worked fine up until a couple days ago. Not sure if I (ehem) messed something up on the board, or something happened with the scripting engine. Anyone else experiencing any SendSerial issues? I'm using the 40MP3 Module. Thanks.

Movement "Envelopes"? Think Animation.

So I'm looking at the servo automated movement stuff, and thinking to myself; hey Cyberdude, what I would love to have are traditional animation controls such as "ease in" and "ease out" with programmable envelopes. (OK, truth be told, I don't actually call myself Cyberdude.) In this scenario, I have a "ServoSpeed_Ramp(Port, UP/DOWN, StartSpeed,...

Baffling Movement Control Question

I have a project I'm working on (encl.) with a movement panel to control the treads. When you press the forward arrow, only one servo turns, the other does a momentary movement, then freezes. Whether executing a call to the movement control from script or manually, it doesn't seem matter, same result. However, if I create a fresh project, set up...

*Fixed* I Was A Bit Annoyed :)

About 2 months ago, while working with the EZB, I heard a "pop" sound. I checked the fuse, seemed fine. Was told I likely pooped the IC. order a couple replacements, just to have a spare. Finally got them this week. Replaced the chip, same issue...flashing bluetooth (connects), no BLUE light at all. I would REALLY like to play with this thing, but...

Wall-E Sound Files...Enjoy

Got really tired of searching for a good set of sounds, so, in a VERY unscientific way, I extracted all of the sounds from the sound chip on the U-Command Wall-e. If you have audio experience, you might want to re-equalize the sounds. But they're "good enough" for now. Enjoy.Wall-E_Sounds.zip ;)

An Evening Of Sushi And Sensors...

SO I had a bad Ping sensor in my kit, the guys at EZ-R were having a hell of a time convincing their distributor that it was really bad and were demanding that EZ-R PROVE IT before they would replace it. What a drag (and poor customer support on the Dist.'s side.) In the meantime, Alan (the other 50% of EZ-R) is hanging out in Sunnyvale, CA. Get's...

OK, sorry to be such a numb nut here, but things haven't gone quite a smoothly as I had expected. No matter, I'm patient. :D So board, works, servos now work, however... Servo Motors Disengaged

@DJ Just a heads up. I just went through the servos in my kit and found three of the 4 standard servos did not function correctly. They whined when plugged in.
