Removing The Ic

Folks, I need to replace the IC on my EZB. I received a replacement chip, and I assumed I would need to you an IC "puller". However, I don't own one, and before I make the run to a local electronics shop to get one, I want to make sure that is the appropriate method. It seems like there is little clearance between the chip and the Bluetooth socket.

Help please. Thanks.

Use a small flat head screw driver. Start at 2:30 because that dude likes to talk.
