This is my first showcase of my robot. Her name is Captain Ann Droid. My last robot was built 25 yrs. ago. When I told my wife and daughter I was going to build a faster and smarter robot they told me it should be a female? She uses an Irobot Create platform, EZ robot kit and software, Radio Shack blue tooth speech unit and other parts. EZ robot has been far above my expectations. Thanks D.J. I hope my links work. Steve, Where did you get the voice that you use for your robot? It is really clear sounding.
rgordon, It is just the standard microsoft female voice. If I remember correctly, the only change was slowing it down, which made it easier to understand. I believe it is the Radio Shack Auvio bluetooth unit that gives it such a clear, distinctive, strong sound. Rex, I sure like your robot. It must be impressive to stand next to a 6 ft. robot. Steve S

Have YOU Considered Doing Robotics Camps This Summer For Your Local School Districts ?
Thanks for the comments Irobot58 and Doug. We visited Phoenix last year, nice. It,s great having Irobot Create/Roomba as one of the supported platforms in EZ Robot. I wish there was an easy way to read the data packets on the wheel encoders for navigation. Steve S [email protected]
Thanks for the kind words. Yeah, I dreamed a little too big for my first robot...LOL. Now working on a smaller one so I can play....eehm...I mean... perform conclusive scientific tests utilizing a robotics platform.......
I think your robot is super cool.
Awesome robot Steve!
@rgordon so he is coming to maker faire right? I feel ya on the large project for a first robot but its so much more satisfying to go the extra step.
