Determining When To Start & Stop Servos

I haven't actually started working on my project(s) yet, since I won't be getting my EZ-Robot until Christmas (if I was a good boy this year), but I am trying to learn as much as possible before then. I have two questions: 1. How can I determine the current position of the servo? When the code starts, the servo position is unknown, so I need a way...

L298n With Separate Power Supply

Hello, The L298n video shows DJ attaching the bridge and ez-b to a single power supply and it looks like the ground for both circuits goes through the ez-b. I need to use a 12V supply to the ez-b and a 7.2V supply to the bridge. How does this wiring setup differ? Thanks...

Connect To Ez-B Or ARC Via Html5 Web Socket

I saw that you can open up a telnet connection to ARC . That's very cool. I really want to use JavaScript to program my robot. If I could connect to ARC via an html5 web socket, where all data that comes in from the ez-b is transferred across the connection, that would be very cool. Will ez-robot ever support something like this?

Smoke Breathing Tiger - Need To Hack A Switch

I found this incredible motion detector cat sprayer (it keeps them off the couch), that I'm looking to use in a smoke breathing animatronic. I love it's built-in functionality. All that needs to happen is I need to hack it's current on/off switch to be able to turn it on with the EZ-B. The switch is the little black part coming out of the green...

Cant Get Pwmrandom Command To Work

Hi all, As a disclaimer I'm very new to writing scripts of any kind. I'm just starting to wright an EZ Script in ARC that will control the motor that rotates the waist back and forth on my full size Lost in Space B9 Robot. So far I've got 2 different scripts working; one to rotate left and the other to rotate right. I've got two scripts just to see...

Unable To Load Project

I am getting really nervous because I have been working hard at building a chat bot the last 4 weeks and continue to save as normal. This morning I tried to open my FRED project and an error window came up.. Unable to load "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" The last script I was working with was the Sound Movement...

Aforge.Net Conflict With Sdk

How can I use the latest version of AForge.NET side by side with the EZ-Robot SDK? Since the SDK has an aforge.dll and already uses AForge, I get a conflict when I try to include the actual AForge.NET dll's in the same project. I've tried using extern alias to separate the two in my own code, but still get the conflict. I believe extern alias won't...

Kit Servos And Power Ratings

I haven't yet received my kit, but I am beginning to plan out my robot. I'm building off an existing vintage chassis like most folks. This chassis includes 2 small DC motors and gear box used for its drive train. They power wheels that are roughly 2 inch (5cm) in diameter. This robot weighs just about 7lbs (3.1kg), and may weigh slightly more in...

I had a dream about D.J. last night. He walked up this very tall mountain where he opened the door to his office. He went inside. When he came down the mountain he was dressed like Moses. He had a white beard and Long white hair. He was carrying two tablets with the EZB Scripts on them. He appeared to have gotten even more smarter. ..... then I...
