Looking For Away To Dump Asci To An Open Usb Port On My Laptop Running

I know some really smart folks here would just say dump the gigantic Rhino controller and drive the arm from EZB. I have a rhino robot and controller, nice size and lift capacity. I would like to use it in conjunction with other things inside ARC. So rather than dedicate a single EZB controller to this one arm, I can just send serial commands to its controller over a USB to RS232 converter. I can do this easily from a serial console on the PC now and would like to do it from with in an ARC script.

The goal is to add in the EZB camera, tracking, sensors and other bits later with the EZB controller and have a hybrid machine under ARC control.

In case you are wondering what a rhino is http://www.rhinorobotics.com/xr3_flyer.html

Sorry if this seems more than a little basic to start out.

Now if this were to get the Robot Master DJ excited.... did I mention that I have two working rhino arms :-)

TIA, and HAPPY NEW YEAR ! jimk
