By the way, there are two kinds of Pino, one is an advanced humanoid robot (45,000) and the other is a simple few degrees of freedom toy. I found a site with some info on the toy. www.theoldrobots.com/smallbot33.html

I found a video of what I believe is the PINO toy:

I believe this is the advanced humanoid:

These often show up on ebay etc. the last one sold went for under £10 including shipping but usually go for around £25-30. I hope it's not a case of "they saw you coming"...

Just asking because your description of how they work described the toy version...

Also, ZMP had 3 versions of the toy, the most advanced was around 10,000 yen ($95) down to a basic model at just 500 yen. All had Japanese boxes. The box it comes in is no indication of it being a toy or being the Pino-DX or whatever.

here is info on PINO ROBOT one going for $30000 and one going for $45000 and they have a smaller like you said for $95 MOSTLY look at the date ONE FOR $30000 CAME OUT in 2001 and if you check the ZMP SITE VERSION 2 goes for $42000 not $95 servo magazine on prices

really they made 4 one without the plastic as a kit for $29000 pino version 2 and pino version 2 $45000 complete REGULAR PINO AT $30000 NOT MADE ANY MORE AND REPLACE WITH THE NEW VERSION 2

zmp COMPANY ON PRICES

RADICA version does say its a toy for 8 years old ,check the photo of the box

You misunderstand what I am saying. I am aware of the price (and the other differences) of the robots. I did not say that the version 2 goes for $95. Please take the time to read my posts and understand them.

But for the record the latest is version 3 released in 2006. Information is scarce on the version 3 however.

@robotmaker, we all just want to see you with your arms wrapped around both Pinos , then we can be with happy with you. At the moment we are all a little disbelieving you have to understand!:) I think I am from Missouri " the show me state":) and..Muller from the X- Files " I want to believe" though he was talking about ET's:)
