You said the most advance robot goes for 10000 YEN ($95) down to basic at 500yen IS that correct, most advance on ZMP COMPANY SITE IS VERSION 2 may be there is a version 3 ,i dont see any info on the ZMP SITE about it

Only thing i did find on the WIKI site is this, dont know if its really true ,since thats only info i see.

A commercial version of PINO is being sold by ZMP INC. a Tokyo-based robotics company. The latest version is Version 3 (released in August 2006).

That may be where you got you info,

Re-read my post.

I have made the key words stand out to aid you in understanding.

Quote:

Also, ZMP had 3 versions of the toy, the most advanced was around 10,000 yen ($95) down to a basic model at just 500 yen. All had Japanese boxes. The box it comes in is no indication of it being a toy or being the Pino-DX or whatever

To clarify further, the above paragraph was about the toy version. The most advanced of the toy version. Toy version. Not the Version 2 but the toy version. I cannot make it any clearer.

I think there is a mix up of the 2 types of PINO ROBOTS ,on the japan box it made by ZMP 2001

Then there is the TOY DESIGN made by RADICA ,EVEN THE BOX SAYS ITS A TOY Pino Robot by Radica 2004, - Dimensions: 14" ( 355.6mm ) high Pino was widely available in 2004, and now he is already a classic collectable robot.

ON bottom of the photo of my box its says 2001 zmp company

Sorry, my time machine broke I can't post a link to 2001...

However I can post a link to robot dreams write up on the Pino toys which confirm the toy prices and types previously mentioned and the Japanese retail toys which back up my comment about the box not meaning it isn't a toy version.

Out of interest, how tall are your Pinos?

"SORRY dont see the reason to have my arms wrap around every robot i take pictures of."

Well honestly Fred over the years the claims vs photos of robot is a fraction of a percent.
