New Hdd Servos

Question

Just received my upgrade HDD servos,(super quick delivery from supplier) and they are fantastic,no buzz and no worry of burn-outs. Would recommend to all. Well done EZ-robot.

Jeremie · Answer

Thanks @westies we appreciate the testimonial!

thetechguru · Answer

I just got mine too. Looking forward to trying them out.

For those who haven't upgraded yet, if you have Revolution bots or developers kit, hit up the Contact Us link instead of the store and you will get a substantial discount.

Yep, these HDD servos are the business! Replaced some of the Servos on my InMoov with HDD and there great, NO buzzing at all, and can handle the huge forces of lifting the InMoov Shoulder, arm and hand without any problems.

Nomad 6R · Answer

hi cem do you have a video, love to see your inmoove robot.

Steve S · Answer

Patrick, That is the most functional J.D. type robot I have seen with hips. The small cube worked out great on the arms. Love the interaction, "My master is the fabulous Patrick". Great work, looking forward to any updates in the future. Steve S edit: I ordered the HDD upgrade package for my SIX and J.D.

Toyhackrobotics · Answer

At least he moves and understands you, wish i could get that far my friend.

Nomad 6R · Answer

NEWAGETOMY its not diff.what pc do you have ? we can do a skype session if you want.

Toyhackrobotics · Answer

I have a very powerful laptop running windows10 and Linux Ubuntu 16.04. Im at a point where im having second thoughts because im such a dumbass...but a skype session would be something i could really do with sometime for sure thanks so much. I think its just my life atm, i can't focus or wrap my head around anything at the moment..little too much stress and being very hard on myself isn't helping.

Dunning-Kruger · Answer

@NEWAGETOMY... What nomad is doing is very basic... Anyone can learn how to do speech rec in about 15mins. All you have to do is put a little effort into it... Sample programs are a good place to start... I also suggest you start reading more in the Learn section and or tutorials... Youtube videos are great for learning electronics or just about anything... If you are going to do more than just play with off the self robots you should learn at least basic electronics and programming... If you are a complete noob in programming I suggest you start with Scratch or Blockly.... Once you understand logic flow ez scripting will come easily....

Nomad 6R · Answer

tomy my skype name is in my settings, see my name. my learning is also diff.i have to see it to understand.

Toyhackrobotics · Answer

@Richard, i am a complete noob thank you. @Nomad, thank you very much my friend.

Nomad 6R · Answer

Toyhackrobotics · Answer

The one which was my avatar. I just changed it to something more befitting.

Nomad 6R · Answer

tomy pic of a robot is better.i forgot.dont pull yourself down.averybody has to start somewhere.

Toyhackrobotics · Answer

@Nomad, thanks but i think i need to take a break for awhile. I need to learn a little more about electronics, a 4 wire cathode led has me confused right now, so if i can't figure something like that out by myself then everything else is going to be a hurdle.

Nomad 6R · Answer

tomy ok have fun.

Nomad 6R · Answer

proteusy here in belgium. ez parts belgium

Proteus · Answer

Ok, thank you.

Ellis · Answer

Hey is there any way to tell the difference by look between the HDD and the HD servo's?

thetechguru · Answer

There is a label. The HD say HD, the HDD say HDD If the label fell off, I don't think there is a visual way to tell, but just plug them in and have them lift something and the audio and strength difference will be obvious. Alan

Dunning-Kruger · Answer

The HDD's don't buzz....

DJ Sures · Answer

You will have to get a datasheet for them. And write code to control them.

Nomad 6R · Answer

i was thinking ,3 12c ports one left eye middle mouth thirth right eye. i wanted to use the rgb window.but thats only the eye, or can i take two rgb windows in one project. so the adres for 12c is 0XA0 0XA,1 0XA,2 is it possible to ad a word in the rgb whits is right or left, i keep forgetting that.

DJ Sures · Answer

The RGB Eye control from ARC only works with the ez-robot rgb eyes. They will all be specific pieces of hardware requiring specific commands. What model number of the leds do you have
