How does Jd Walk?

Question

Hi guys... I'm curious to know how JD walks confused , because I have seen many videos ez robot but in none of them is JD walking is it fast, slow, or is a bit clunky? ... someone you can send a video of JD? because if I do not know how to walk I do not want to order it. thanks to all

Videos of JD are coming soon. There are none of him at this moment in time. It may sound a little simple but isn't it likely to be one foot in front of the other? Am I missing anything?

Rich. Come on man. We know what walking means. Its just its getting to be a Bigfoot status here. There's short videos of this thing in motion. And we have to view and review just to try to get a feeling for his motion post a video already. Not a huge request.

Sorry, couldn't help the sarcasm DJ has addressed this and said that it is due to the robots not being with EZ-Robots for long before another magazine wants them, he has also said that a video will be coming as soon as they can make one.

Really guys. Is it too much to ask for a video of a robot from a robot co. Not asking for the holy grail here. And to be honest I don't think it bother the co. Like it bother some of you. We all love the co. We all love DJ sures. That doesn't mean we can't ask a question here and there.

@hoolagen the question has been asked, acknowledged and answered by DJ very recently which is exactly what we have explained above. They are aware there is a demand for a video of JD and will post one as soon as they can.

@hoolagen1 They don't have enough time to actually get a good video of the robot, and that's the problem. I could see why people would ask, but this has been both asked and answered atleast 4-5 times, not to mention the answer is usually explaining the biggest problem: they don't have the robot long enough to record a video.

I get that. But for every person that asks this question. There are 50 people jumping down their throat... How else would a robot walk... Here's a video of a different robot... Or immediately defending the co. ... I think that's more annoying than asking a simple ....sup with a video? And if you think about it. People continuously asking this question, is the demand you speak of.

Look. My bad for coming off aggro. Its just. If it bugs you that much, don't answer. Or tell that person...look it up. The forum is awesome. Or leave for someone like me, that will answer him or her. It's just people ask a question and some people in this forum take it as an attack against the co. Remember how ever awesome and helpful this forum is...it is just that, a forum. Not every post will be praising the co.

The question was answered and an explanation given when further questioned. I can't see how anyone has jumped down anyone else's throat, taken anything as any kind of attack or defended anything (other than this post defending the other posts being accused of attacking etc.). Perhaps you are reading in the wrong context or tone? Bear in mind this forum is pretty much unique in that all posts and answers are to aid and are helpful. We don't have a forum which carries the usual "search for yourself before asking the question" attitude. That smiley face between ez and robot, it's there for a reason

rryerson, JD has 16 degrees of body movement, 2x4 in shoulder/arm/gripper, 2x3 in leg/ankle, 2 in neck. I assume the ankle servos help him go sideways? Working versions of JD have been around since Niek's work experience - over 6 months ago. The ARC software has had stand, 4 way movement and wave programmed into it for months I desperately want a JD but before parting with US$469, but I would like to see more than a video of JD kicking a ball and rolling his eyes For now I have ordered a development kit and can wait for videos to surface

Soon as we get robots back from magazines we'll have videos of each robot. Currently the only working robot we have is Six... The rest are out for magazine photo shoots I love that you're all super excited about him. He has servos in his ankles, which allows him to shift back and forth. I created the body and positioned the legs so it's very balanced. The ankle servos do not need to work very hard to hold his position, even with his arms out. Of course, like all walking humanoid robots you will want to ensure he's on a flat surface. Wish I could provide more at this point! We're slowly catching up to videos... Including many more tutorials and updated tutorials - it's a lot of work for our small staff, and we appreciate your patience

@nomad As far as I can tell from testing, turning waists are mainly just to make the robot seem more human. Infact, I couldn't get my robot to walk using it's waist very well (it works best in the locked forward facing position), but that's just my experience.

DJ Sures, I really appreciate your feedback and further information on JD. I can't imagine how busy you and your team currently are! Kenny Storm, thanks for the great video of your biped! I'd be happy if JD could do that. I regularly search the internet for new robots. There are more on the market every day, some at astronomical prices. Very few have videos unless somebody has bought one and posted a video on youtube. Considering the high asking price, technical information is usually very sparse and there is not much info on the electronics, software or support. I don't know how they manage to sell these things with just a few pretty pictures and ambit claims like "Features secret abilities that have not been realized" ? I've gradually realized that here's definitely a lot to consider when buying a robot and EZ-Robot ticks all the boxes. With EZ-Robot there is a long development & support history, free, regularly updated and developed PC software (and now Android!), a control board with detailed specifications, reasonably priced robots and kits with all parts listed, upgrades and spares, tutorials and videos and a very active forum and more!

this combination off EZ and making your own robot is bigger then its name REVOLUTION. my gess even dj&his team will blown off there feets some day to see how big ez has become. there's no doubt in my mind this will happen. i seen many robots last 5 years.and speek to some sellers.they dont sell lots off robots , due to high cost ,chipping is sky high.some off then cant live from this selling. so these seller will also benefit off ez.cause people get back interested in robotics. tony1952 i totally agree whit you.

kirobo is not on sale.robi is on sale he becomes whit free clock whit robi voice and free seat charger. you need a japanese seller cause he have to fill in the form to get the free items. yes this is my robi.he will be completed in juli this year. there are 4 issues each month and that for 2 years.

when robi's batt are empty he will say am hungry and look for his seat sit down and charge. he speeks more then 200 words,but you need to learn japanese. you need to be very patients when you start building the robi.2 years is long waiting. and each issue has some 30 min work and your done. he has cleaning mops for his feet. you get also stickers from robi in diff poses.a mini robi too. and you need to build a activation station.looks similar like robi ,its for activate your servo's.
