I bought the developer kit last week, can confirm their the V4 with the HDD servos.
Looked into my old developer kit and the servos are different, new kit has the HDD's.
When i connected it to wi-fi it said V4/2. : )
G'Day Newagetomy,
I ordered mine out of Hong Kong warehouse (Import tax reseasons) Not sure where you ordered yours from but since you are in AP Hong Kong seems logical. I purchased last kits in Hong Kong warehouse but USA still has supply.
Hola Nink,
mine was from the AUS warehouse here.
I ordered my first kit from them also but it was the old kit, so was happy to see its the new V4.
Just received an email saying they don't have them all in stock now? So now I think (but not sure) my 7 is reduced to 5 dev kits (and they have not shipped any yet)
On a separate but related note I started building another JD Humanoid printing out the components but there is a bunch of things that can't be printed that are not in dev kits, (Small servos for neck and hands, lipo battery + Charger, screws to attach servos to feet, power switch, cables, LED eyes.
I can obviously run around and get these parts and I will but it would be nice if there was an "upgrade kit" that contained everything that was need to upgrade Dev kit to JD / Six / Roli etc.
Contact us and request the parts directly. There's very few people who 3d print a jd that it wasn't cost effective for customers if we added a product sku. Every project sku is a reserve of inventory that sits on a shelf, which over time costs money and affects the price of all product markup. So holding inventory of some parts that only sells two a year ends up costing more than the product is worth. This is because there's a warehousing and distribution company which handles logistics. Not to bore you with the details, but there's reasons
. Good news is you can Contact Us and we can help directly. The global diy community may be shrinking, but i make sure we still cater to you guys!
Contact us directly and we'll get you setup. You can find the missing parts on our website as individual items as well - except power harness, I believe. have fun!
@Nink,
their still in stock from the AUS warehouse..why don't you order from there..?
Hi @NEWAGETOMY unfortunately i don't get that option for Australia for delivery. I get USA or Hong Kong. If I order from US I typically get hit with a lot of import duty charges but for some reason they don't always charge me from China (especially if I order stuff on ebay). They shipped 5 from Hong Kong on Friday so now I am printing away in anticipation of their arrival :-)
