Where To Buy Parts In Uk

Got my EZ-B yesterday (would have been sooner but I wasn't home and DHL messed me about a little). But now I need to get all of the other bits I may need. Been googling and ebaying all morning but just thought I would ask on here, where do you guys pick up your servos, servo cables etc. from in the UK? Is it just a case of hitting ebay or are there...

Extended Range Communication

I see that wifi and xbee are popular options. From reading on the forums, some people seem to have trouble getting wifi to work. I need my robot to stay in communication around my quarter acre yard. I don't mind putting a couple wifi (802.11) repeaters up if need be. Is there any reason I should not use wifi? Has anyone gotten it to work? How big...

Batteries (Noob)

I have the wild thumper 4WD chassis. I read somewhere that anything over 5V is a waste for the EZ-B. Not sure this is true... IF this IS true, should I have two battery packs? 6V for EZ-B and a higher voltage, higher AH battery for the chassis? I'm looking for the best solution, not the cheapest. Can anyone recommend a link to buy the best battery...

Moving An Led

I'm putting my board into a project box and I'm thinking a case mounted LED with some passive vents cut out to allow the voltage regulators to breathe. The best way I can think of doing this is to de-solder the LED, mount it to the box and re-solder jumper pins, then hook up wire from LED back to the board - that way I can easily open the box and...
