Going To The Dogs

Hello Its been a long time since I have been here. This may already have been addressed. Has anyone built or modified a dog type robot. I am interested in building or modifying a dog style robot. I want it to be someting more than a toy. It should be able to use recognition,  navigation and travel avoidance, and othe EZB features.  Any suggestions or advice? I want a new thought for a 2023 project

Not yet, I have other projects to finish first. Hopefully I'll get them finished before I get to old. LOL.

Hi Dave, Yeah that's the one. I"m going to get it. For the price I think it is worth it just for the framework and parts  Ill have to see if the ESP 32 board is compatible to ARC. I guess Ill have to start all over trying to remember how to program. LOL  I was never that good. Poor Antonn is sleeping in the corner. Maybe someday he will have a puppy to play with. Dave, you got to get a 3D printer. It opens up a whole new direction. Its not hard to learn and the benefits are great.

There are a lot of micro dog vids on youtube and it is a well documented build with a fair amount of developing going on. It's a good project but you need a printer.

Hi Perry. I do have 3d printers but my plan is to see how big the dog I ordered actually is (and it is all aluminum). I also hope to see the operating program it uses. I can then decide which direction to go. The programming is my main concern. Like you said there are a lot of printable options and programs out there.

Once I receive the robot i ordered I will be closing this thread and go to the general listing to share my project.
