Accelerometer And Gyro Confusion

I think I may have got my self a little confused. What's the difference between an accelerometer and a gyro? Does an accelerometer return the movement of each angle or the angle itself?

I bought JD from the internet site and it arrived. 3D Printing A Six

I am 3D printing a Six and have gotten to the part that I dread the most. The final pieces to print are the horn type pieces for the 12 servos.
