i got the new ezb but it has a rare ip ezbv400078033cd1c

A new EZ-B will have the name EZBv4 and part of it's MAC address at the end. You will need to rename the EZ-B v4 to what ever you want it to be using the Web Server You can find out more how to use the EZ-B v4 in the LEARN section tutorials. It looks like this one has the entire MAC address instead of the last 4 digits of the MAC address in its SSId. Should still work fine, an SSID is an SSID. Nothing special about the digits. Alan

Nomad, that isnt the IP. It is the SSID. When you connect to this with your android or iphone, you will be able to put it on your network. From there you scan for the IP that was assigned to this device. It has been a while, but you have done this a few times before.

Connect to the ezbv400078033cd1c network and the IP will be 192.168.1.1, just like always with a new EZ-B. Alan

Okay, now I see what is happening....

Your network is setup to only allow certain mac addresses to be able to connect to it. This was because you had jerks for neighbors.

It is seeing your network fine but is unable to get connected because the mac address hasnt been specified in your wireless access point (Engenius). let me see if I can find the thread from the last time you had a new EZ-B.

@Nomad.... are we going to do this every time you buy a new ezb4? Did you type in your network name and password before you pressed connect? It won't connect unless you spell your wifi network and password correctly?

rr you saw me just doing that in the video. david i ad the new ezb on Engius.ubove is a check box something for mac. chould i check that box or uncheck.

I have to head into a meeting and then after work I have to go be my wife's companies lift monkey because they just bought a bunch of furniture. I will connect tomorrow if you cant find the notes that you had from the last time we did this. Let me know if you get it figured out. If not, I will connect and get it going for you. You might want to find your password for your router configuration while I am away.

If you can get into your router with the login information for your router, you could uncheck MAC Filtering. We could try that and see if your neighbors have quit trying to hack your network over the past year.

Okay, if you disable MAC Filtering like in your first photo, you should be able to click apply button. From there, you would just run through the connection stuff again for your EZ-B.
