Wondering if any of the 100 dollar Lidar would work with Synthiam? https://www.robotshop.com/ca/en/ydlidar-x4-360-laser-scanner.html?utm_source=Facebook&utm_medium=Paid&utm_campaign=ProdCatCA&fbclid=IwAR0Nlc5ULgiu7disiijdg5EDoL5-tLuYt2zjrcLqKMX0fvCwYwLxKweY838 I do see the support for Lidar Lite, will check that out too.

EZ-SLAM
by Synthiam
Creates a map in a global variable; proof-of-concept SLAM visualizer (very experimental).
Requires ARC
v25

The ezslam will work but needs an arduino connected to the lidar to translate the data. I haven't published the protocol for ezslam but i'll add it to my list.
Sounds like a plan, will look at that since I have built in Arduino on the Latte Panda mini PC ,have never used it yet because Synthiam is always better on the win10 panda.
This ad just popped up on me, looks interesting too https://www.intelrealsense.com/?cid=psm&source=facebook_soc_ihi&campid=asmo-nar_q4_all&content=home_cv&fbclid=IwAR1cwFu17o-tQIfsNVFGfUZ1PUbubPou0O3dRJL5zRtA55yFFkTFBRnC0HU
