We occasionally have come across large investment pitches that would bankrupt us. I know our business model is solid but it scales with growth of parallel/related industries. We’ve been here since the beginning of the maker movement which spawned a ton of technologies and businesses for robotics - so we have a great understanding of market growth and how it applies to the industry - we have experience to know when to react to new tech, and when to call its bluff:)

how can we possibly take a 50 million investment when we know our revenue for return is several years out. That would bankrupt us in a VCs timeline. More money doesn’t change anything for our development speed. Our development speed is dependent on secure reliable technologies. We don’t implement fly-by-night or unproven tech because it’s a waste of your time.

In short, our financial model is nearly 100% solid because it scales with new technologies of related industries. They’re successful, so we’re successful. Robotics progress, we progress.

point is - vc capital will bankrupt companies if they don’t have revenue explosion within their set timeline. Our revenue is based on the growth of technologies that apply to robotics. The more technologies there are, the more partners we have, which results in more users. Our growth of pro subscribers is solid and impressive for the market size. I think that’s why we attract investment attention.

synthiam is anticipating technologies that reliably solve vision, power, servos, and environmental reasoning - because they’ll partner with us to grow their customer base. Albeit, now that I made this public, the company *iam’ that’s been poorly copying our messaging, name and product concept will use this in their next vc update to justify why their numbers are lower than ours. Copying should be flattery but in their case it’s cringe.

Anyway, there’s a fear I hear often where people ask what if technologies happen but the availability is closed to a single product?

i laugh and say their business wont last if it’s not a worthwhile tech to license. You can’t grow a business by not licensing your technology. We’ve sure seen that happen often in the last few years!

Okay on the topic of ai, I just realized something.

watching videos of ppl mocking open ai - I realized they’re comparing the ai against human. That’s actually really amazing. Never before have humans mocked technology against human intelligence. It’s almost as if ppl are accepting ai as a person. Like, that’s really great!

just goes to show how far that technology has come. Way to go open ai!

Looks like IAM Robotics has rebranded to Onward robotics, focusing on robots in the work place. How have they copied...

I put a star to avoid any SEO. Not them. Put a v in front

a round up of various canned robotics demo's  please ignore camera position changes, cut scenes, video speed up and video stitching that may or may not occur in the  demonstrations as these robots will all perform flawlessly in real world environments.

Lol that’s actually the funniest description ever.

doesn’t it feel like robot companies are competing against each others lies? Rather than having any usefulness.

Like it just seems these robots are demonstrating things that solved problems no one has.

I get they need to start somewhere. But the somewhere isn’t exciting to anyone right now. And it makes the whole industry look ridiculous.

i remember a day, not long ago, where ppl thought it was cool I was in robotics. Now they laugh or chuckle and tell me about some silly video or robot product that no one wants they say online.

If the battery in the H1 is 864Wh - I think that breaks down to a 12volt 72Ah battery.  I would have guessed a more powerful battery or something very special vs. an off the shelf battery for around $120.

I run these are 18V  4Ah drill batteries on my dog and it has similar BLDC motors. I run the ARC computer and peripherals on a separate LiPo and I still only get about 20 min run time.
