Key Improvement

Enhanced Memory Management for 3D Rendering

  • Some users, especially in education systems running ARC on lower-end PCs, have experienced out-of-memory errors when working with large 3D design files in 3D Designer and 3D Automated Instructions.
  • While these memory errors do not affect robot functionality, they can disrupt workflow when creating or viewing complex 3D models.
  • This release introduces an optimized memory manager that better handles large 3D assets, reducing the likelihood of out-of-memory errors.

This update is particularly beneficial for schools, students, and users on older hardware, ensuring a smoother experience when designing and working with 3D robot models.

Update now to take advantage of this improvement.

I'm not sure when this happened or which of the recent updates are to blame but the load time of ARC, once it starts up, is a lot quicker now. It's very noticeable on my Beelink U59 mini PC that's mounted on my robot. At least 3 seconds or more. Nice work! If it gets any quicker I'm going to have adjust my robot's bootup sequence.:D Thank you!

Yeah it's been quite a bit faster I noticed. On my rock pix, which I use as the SBC on many of my testing robots, it's been a rocket. Gotta say I'm super impressed with it lately.
