I see you have selected an ezrobot iotiny as hardware to use with Synthiam arc software. A good place to begin is visiting the manufacturers website and following their tutorials in their support/learn section. Their website is www.ez-robot.com once you get some details about the ezrobot product that you selected, a good place to start using Synthiam’s ARC software is the support section that has getting started tutorials.  access the support section to find the getting started guide by clicking SUPPORT from the top menu of this website

Thanks. I have another one. I cannot connect to my EZ-B IoTiny because it is set to the same address as my router. If I shut down the router, I have no wifi network. What can i do? TIA Marty

For sure... the manual for your product is on the manufacturers website. In this case, the manufacturer is www.ez-robot.com you can change the IP address of either your router or the iotiny. It is just 192.168.1.1 you can use a wifi dongle to connect directly to ezb

Cannot even ping it. Do not need a dongle; my laptop has wi-fi. So does my phone. Too bad there is no USB or ethernet ports on board. Is the board defective? (flashing blue LED).

Did that. I have a device scanner on my phone ("Fing"): it does not see it. If I cannot ping the board, it is dead. I will make a claim with the vendor. Thanks anyway.

When you connect to the iotiny over wifi, what IP address are you assigned? check using the cmd prompt and type ipconfig.exe Would be helpful if you pasted a screenshot using Windows snippet tool here. So I can see the ip configuration of the cmd.exe ipconfig.exe

Did you try to reset the IoTiny to it default AP mode and start the setup process over to get it into WiFI mode? This usually helps. Look for the location of the reset button below:

Yes, tried the reset many times.    It never stops flashing blue and clicking in  the spkr. How can I get it into wi-fi mode if I can't connect ?

If the led is flashing blue, then the wifi is working as well because that led is triggered by an event in the wifi driver. I wrote the code for ezrobot. But they don’t pay us for product support so I’m graciously assisting LOL also, the change of the wifi router is still on the same network. I provided a link to you above on how to change the IP address of the iotiny. Otherwise, you need to change your routers network. Your post describes that you merely changed the IP address of your router. You did not change the network address. The network address would have to change to avoid conflict.  I do not believe there is any fault in the product. You’ll have to change the network address so it’s not conflicting with your router. Or change the router network address.  it’s probably best to change the router network address though. I’m guessing your router is an older netgear. They had a lot of trouble by using .1/24 address space. A lot of products default to that space (such as wifi speakers) and they stopped using that address.

DJ If you read the discussion, you will see that I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO CONNECT AT ALL. Where do you see I was able to change the address? My router (an older Linksys) was the only device set to 192.168.1.1/24, which I changed to .99 temporarily.

I edited my post. Looks like your caps lock is working. Take a look at my revised post because your network is still the same as the default iotiny network. One of those two will have to change.  You can always disconnect the Ethernet of your computer and connect to the iotiny to change its network address. Then it’ll be fine to reconnect everything

Oh wow, a linksys with a default network of .1/24 eh? That’s wild - never seen that before!  one of your two devices will need to be on a different network. You’re still only changing the IP address and not the network.  the network is the 192.168.X part. So changing your router to 192.168.0.1 would have changed the network. And by doing so, all dhcp devices would change to because the router will handle the change for ya. That’s the easiest solution  the alternate is what I described above by changing the iotiny ip. And that would require disconnecting the Ethernet etc

If I change the router to .99 the conflict is eliminated.  Why would I want 2 networks? All devices are in one happy family, most with fixed ip.add.re.ss's

You can’t have the same network across two network devices. changing the IP address does not resolve a network conflict. The network on one of the network adapters needs to change

Hi - you need to change the network of the router. Currently your router is on the same network as the EZB, which is .1/24. Change it to .0 PS, gotta say a WRT54G! That's awesome - i used to love those routers back in the early 2000's. Super classic router - a workhorse to see one still running! Change this number to 0 ... so it reads 192.168.0.1

When you connect via wifi - you see the iotiny? And you press connect and it says connected? and When you go to command prompt and type ipconfig, do you see both the iotiny and your Ethernet ip addresses? They should be on different networks  can you copy and paste the ipconfig output?

Well this is a first! The blue led flashing is caused by an event in the wifi driver. So if there is a hardware failure with a broken antenna internally, that’s about all I can think of.

At least the network is setup for ya - so you’ll be good to go when it’s replaced with a new one

When we started shipping the IoTiny they were always in Anti-static bags. I will check with our manufacturer to see if they stopped using them. I do believe there are clear bags coated with staticide these days but I will need to double-check if those are the type they are using.

When I ordered my IOTiny it came in a clear zip lock bag, not an antistatic. There was debris and a human hair in it. I asked about it a while back. IT still worked though. https://synthiam.com/Community/Questions/Is-This-Iotiny-Used-4088

EzAng: anti-virus software does not block viewing APs on your network. This is the first and last EZ-Robot product I waste my time on.

There’s a number of other and more affordable controllers you can use for Synthiam arc software. Have you seen the esp32? It’s wifi enabled and only a few dollars. Also there’s an esp32cam as well which has a camera on it.  Check out the supporter Synthiam products here: https://synthiam.com/Support/Hardware/Hardware-Overview as for ezrobot, maybe let them know about the trouble you’re having. If it is not showing up in the wifi list, sounds defective. You can find ezrobot website at www.ez-robot.com. See what they say about the product if it’s defective or not.
