Probably the uptick in business caught the eye of a customs inspector if this is unusual for your interactions with them. I know they are well respected in most of the world, just compared to UPS and Fedex I have not had great luck with them in the US.

They once lost a 300 lb telephone switch (worth $60,000 just in hardware, let alone the $250,000 in software installed on it) at Dulles Airport for three weeks. Finally found it by reviewing security tapes and discovered that three larger pallets of stuff had been put around it so no one could see it in the warehouse.

Ouch! That would hurt. Our package is worth nearly that in hardware. It seems they are working with us to release it now. We should have it today fingers crossed

@DJ - sorry to hear of the headaches DHL is causing for you.

I pre-ordered on 12/14/2011 at 6:50:14 PM and got an email saying I was in "Group 2" for shipping, but I just checked the status of my order and it's still "Step 1) New Order ".

I hope you didn't forget about me... And please don't think I'm complaining... It's just soooo hard to wait when you're excited and expecting something as good as an EZ-B complete kit!

As if by magic I now know I am alongside group 2 waiting for our arch enemy DHL to sort their ship pment out! Hopefully by this time I should also have a Wall.e that needs some attention' love and servos to bring a new lease of life too

It seems DHL has passed the buck onto Canada Customs. They've decided to pick on EZ-Robot and go through every package to collect all taxable imported goods. They want every possible cent from our import. It's not that I have any objection to the Canadian Import Laws - it's that some prior notice would have helped us schedule time for their greedy procedure.

I picture a bunch of Canada Customs tax paid employees sifting through our packages while shipments for large Oil and Gas corporations pass right by.
