can i use speech recognition from nuance for ARC.will that work? on win7.i dont want to use my pc whit my voice just will ARC recognize, the speech engine. thanks anyone

No, you couldn't without DJ modifying ARC.

There are no plans to add nuance support for backward missing features of old operating systems. I would recommend upgrading to Windows 8, or 8.1.

Also, remember that windows 7 is nearly 10 years old and with Windows 10 coming around the corner, it should be available soon

I am hoping Microsoft does a good API for Cortana in Windows 10. They really hosed up SAPI in Windows 8.x. (as evidenced by all our issues getting other region voices to work in ARC).

I would love Nuance support too. They are the undisputed leaders in voice recognition, but their developer license is outrageously expensive.

DJ beat me to it... You need any PC with Win7 professional/Ultimate or Win8/8.1 or Windows 10... and of course a microphone if your PC doesn't have one...

@nomad see where it says "Robot move Forward".... When you speak that your robor will execute the command Forward() (in the right side script)...So in the left side of the column you type in the command you want your robot to do... For instance.... "JD stand up" in the column beside it (right side) you type in a script or you can use controlCommand to make your JD pose or do whatever... In this case you can have JD Pose by standing up straight..... You can put as many voice commands as you want... The command that you will speak is on the left side... On the right side the script you want to run when you say that command....

In the above picture you posted it shows you do have it... en-US .... You will need to use English... Does your Win8 PC have a microphone built in? Go to your control panel on your PC and look for "Speech Recognition".... If it's there then you have it...
