Hey DJ and Jer...since you guys are on the dynamixel road...is there a chance you guys can take a look at the new XM series servos from dynamixel. A couple of us have tried to get these to work, but to no avail. Let me know I can send one to you to test with (with a return postage paid box
. I have three of these totalling $700 that i cant use.
Yeah there are two flavors of Dynamixels, 3 wire is TTL and 4 wire is the rs485..all my servos are TTL. They are easy to tell apart as the nomenclature has -T or -R after the servo. There is no way to flash them to be one or the other, they are either TTL or RS485 from the factory as stated by wire number.
Hopefully Robotis sent you TTL versions
