*Fixed* I was a Bit Annoyed :)

Question

About 2 months ago, while working with the EZB, I heard a "pop" sound. I checked the fuse, seemed fine. Was told I likely pooped the IC. order a couple replacements, just to have a spare. Finally got them this week.

Replaced the chip, same issue...flashing bluetooth (connects), no BLUE light at all.

I would REALLY like to play with this thing, but I'm getting frustrated.

Help! stress stress

Would Bluetooth still light up if the fuse were blown?

Did you do the Diagnostic Tutorial? I feel your pain. That has happened to all of us at one time or another, probably. sorry. :-(

Please follow the diagnostic tutorial on this link: https://synthiam.com/Tutorials/Diagnostics.aspx Do not have any peripherals connected to the EZ-B when testing. Read through the diagnostic procedure once before performing the steps. a) Bluetooth will not light up if fuse is blown b) The POP would have occured from a short while using the EZ-B. We all make mistakes, and I have many times. There is a chance that the blue LED is blown. Check for power at the blue LED pins. We'll figure it out

How should I check power at the LED? is there continuity between the pins? Otherwise, just give me probe positions and I'll give that a go too.

First, please provide me the results to your Diagnostic test from my email. If that test is succesful, then you can check the power at the LED by doing this... 1) Apply power to the EZ-B 2) Locate the blue LED 3) Turn the EZ-B upside down 4) Locate the two solder points under the LED on the bottom side of the EZ-B 5) Configure your multi meter to the DC voltate that is 5 or above 6) Connect your multi meter to the two pins 7) Verify you have some voltage on those pins 8) Tell me how much you have

Meh, Board works fine. Had to put firmware on new chip (wonder if old chip really works (that would really piss me off.) Didn't seem to work and I messed with it for days before ordering new chip. Updating to latest software. Gonna play with stuff now. Thanks for usual level of excellent help folks!
