Cant Get Connect The Ezbv

Question

for what ever reason it seems sinds the ip ezbv4 is change with mack adres, i cant get any connected.

I don't have time to look at it yet. Do any of your ezbs connect to the network? If so, the issue isn't the engenius. We turned off mac address filtering last time. I won't be able to connect to see what is going on until tomorrow morning CST. I am away from my house and won't be back until late tonight.

It is impossible for an EZ-B to change its MAC address. they are burned into the WiFi chip. Go back to basics. Reset one of the EZ-B's and try to connect in AP mode (without your router) to start troubleshooting. More than likely something changed in the MAC address filtering settings on your router. (maybe change your Router's password, the hackers may be at it again....). Alan

Make sure your batteries are charged, and go back through the tutorial again (I know, you have done them a dozen times, but you said yourself several times your memory is not good, so just work it through one step at a time). Work on just getting one device to work in AP mode, then see if you can get it back connected to your router in client before working on the next one. Alan

not working.not in api or client yesterday the server fell out a few houres,i think its the engenius router. and i cant fix that.i really start to hate this and the words on the ezb.

Just a thought to see if the EZ-B is okay. Can you connect it and use a mobile app project on your iPhone? Remember, using AP mode doesn't use your router.

The blue LED is AP mode and green is Client mode. So you cannot connect your iPhone to the EZ-B using the mobile app then? Remember this will be AP mode (direct connection from iPhone to EZ-B, no router). Also I just wanted to confirm, have you run a scan using the connection control in ARC to find the EZ-B?

So the EZ-B is okay then. That's good. Can you try and connect your computer to your EZ-B with AP mode now. If that works (and I don't see why it shouldn't) then I recon its a problem with your router. If you can connect you computer to the v4, I'd go back and go through the connection process again from the start to connect via "Client Mode".

i cannot connect to ARC.i can connect app mode. i notest one thing i have to keep the ezb very close to the iphone. yes i think some is wrong with the engenius but only d cohran knows that.

So it is just "Client Mode " you're having trouble with. Okay, well at least we have narrowed the problem down a bit. Maybe David will chime in if he has time, but it might be worth going through and reading your old forum threads again when you had this trouble before, and see if you can figure it out in the mean time. At least you know you haven't got a bad EZ-B anyway.

the engenius is diff for me .i will do more harm then good. thanks steve g now i know how ap mode works. i think last time was similar problem,server fell out then problem starts. david repair it engenius has alot of settings.

Sounds to me like mac address filtering isn't off after all. Just a guess.

am really sorry to say the problems keeps comming back. when i disconnect the ezb and power off,it will not connect again. all other 5 robots connect perfect.i gess i have a bad ezb. so am gonna use the contact us if its not toolate.

i found when i reset engenius on pc,then ezb will connect to ARC. but when power of and wait 5 min connection is broken.

i managed to set the clock correct in engenius .but problem stay same. i fill in the contact us .

This same thing happened to me when I got my 1st EZB v4. I went the engenius route and made sure I had a strong signal for my EZB. However I still had the problem so I ended up getting a new router. I then manually assigned the EZB's IP address in the new router so the router's DHCP would give it the same address each time the EZB wanted to connect. That solved my problem (the same one your having).
