Mecha Morphix Robot Platform

Learn robotics as you build. Course includes hours of detailed video instruction on 3d printing, assembling, wiring and programming your robot head with a detailed BOM for parts and materials. The course will guide you through the completion of the robot head ALAN, but the online store will include many new modular parts like heads, necks and shoulders to modify your robot into new characters. One platform unlimited robots.

Programming

The course will include starter ARC presets to zero out servos etc. As long as you build and follow the instructions, my templates should get you up and running right away. Then as you learn more about ARC you can add or remove functions.

Parts & Materials

You will build using proven controllers like the EZB, IO Tiny, Arduino and ESP 32s as controllers for servo motions LEDs and camera/vision.

You'll need various tools including a 3D printer to produce the plastic parts, use of soldering iron, heat sinks, standard tools like wrenches etc. If you are a DIY builder you will have alot of the tools and parts needed.

Still missing a few skills like Symbot and Translate?! But, I have to be honest the laptop was also not showing all skills as well. So I updated it, and its like exploring a whole new ARC..so many skills. LOL!

That's weird, both your computers had that corruption. Who knows what Windows does behind the scenes. Sometimes it's like banging our heads against the wall haha

I've been pulling out some images of Alan's parts (an 11 year project). The outside has remained mostly the same, but the insides are a different story. They have evolved and changed over the years. The first image is the original Alan (he could only move his head forward and backwards all plastic parts and hobby servos. Then came Hardcore Alan, all aluminum internal CNC parts with 3 Dynamixels and 3 digital servos. Quite a few more parts than the OG, lots of modifications. And now there is the Mecha Morphix robot platform staring Alan as the base build. Somehow I ended up with a considerably more parts list, go figure! For affordability, I went back to standard and 1/5th sized servos. The main components moved from the head into the shoulders, lightening up the head quite a bit.

Anyways, crazy to see all the incarnations and evolution of Alan over the years. eve1.JPG eve4.JPG eve2.JPG

Geezus - until you zoom out and see all the parts like that, and their generational changes... It's difficult to dismiss how much effort that has taken. I really hope your project gets the attention it deserves. I think that, as creators ourselves, our biggest fear is dying like Nikola Tesla. And what's worse about that is having some douchebag name a car company he stole after you, haha

@DJ hahahahahaahahahaha, so true

@dave thanks man. It’s crazy. I’m not really known for working on any one project for any long length of time. But this one just keeps pulling me along!

Update.

Mecha Morphix is such a massive project with TONS of files, hours of video and lots of support materials....we are having some minor issues with parts of Kajabi (the course host). Kajabi was not really built for something this complex, more for a downloadable PDF and a little bit of video instruction. So we are working hard, along with a Kajabi Professional to make sure ALL the files are hosted together and are easily accessible in one place. We are also finalizing some legal stuff with our attorneys...to stay nice and protected as well as getting our teeth out for those that might want to copy and resell all my hard work.

A little more patience. But, reading between the lines, lets just say, the course is closer to release than ever before. I'm very proud of all the work that's gone into this and I hope the concept of interchangeable parts will make this an ever expanding and ever lasting project with the support from builders like you. I know the project is WAY overdue, but the delays have made it a better product. Lots of amazing things coming down the pike.

(We also started generating ads and content for the course...so much coming your way in the coming weeks!!! Below) enhanced_ChatGPT Image Sep 4 2026 03_41_12 PM.png ChatGPT Image Sep 4, 2026, 01_19_17 PM.jpg
