Ez-robot Revolution Shipping Update

Well, many of you have been wondering when we will be shipping EZ-Robot Revolution? It has been a very fun time designing the Revolution robots over the past year. I'm very excited to see what amazing inventions you will create with EZ-Bits and the EZ-B v4. There have been a few changes to the robots recently, and the EZ-Bits STL's will be published online in the EZ-Cloud shortly. The Store will also reflect the changes to the parts - as you know, our EZ-Robot Team has been 110% full throttle for many months.... So please be patient with us :)

Preparing parts for manufacturing has been a very interesting and educational experience. Finding manufacturing companies, logistics companies, quality control companies, etc... Negotiating pricing. Trying to find North American manufacturers - learning to negotiate with overseas manufacturing. The list goes on, and on, and on. Are we an expert yet? In my books, you're an expert when you accept that you're not an expert.

Whoa, that was deep! Enough about philosophy, onto the good news... Watch the video for the update :) Oh, and dancing robots!

Well I have the current versions of the files just in case. As much as I love the changes, if it's things like logos on feet, it only complicates the print where I have a less than perfect printer. Although the replicator 2 seems pretty plug and print, a lot of other printers take a lot more work to get the same standard. As an example the feet bottoms are easy, but items like the head front are more difficult .... If printed with the face upward, the eyes are mid air so need support printing, which when removed can leave the inside of the head less than perfect. Hopefully I can print things to optimise the exteriors and the insides of face and shoes etc won't be noticed where the support was. Hopefully the new files will be ok, but if it's simple and functional vs fancy and messy I will stick with the current files if the new ones are too tricky for me to print.

@jayceekeys: I agree. I also would prefer logo-free parts without "branding"

I believe the parts are to be loaded in ARC with the new logo. I have absolutely no problem having the logo/branding. It's not an issue it's just anything that is detailed like that adda the possibility that the part will look less near when it's 3D printed on an average printer.

@rryerson I actually didn't get to play with the v4. When I was at EZ-Robot, they were only just coming up with the idea. What I used was the EZ-Mini, which was just a down scaled version of the v3:D

@Niek... Ahh, ok... didn't know that... So you are in the same boat as the rest of us then... ;)
