Plugin For Azure Kinect

Hi guys,

I'm looking for a plugin that allows you to use Azure Kinect instead of Kinekt v2 for my project. Looks like the old plugin isn't working. Does anyone have any experience with Azure? Besides, has anyone tried using Artec Studio with Azure, what are the results?

Mark.

The are 2 Kinect plugins available: https://synthiam.com/Products/Controls/Misc/Kinect-Body-Control-15859 works with Kinect 360 on Windows 10  https://synthiam.com/Products/Controls/Misc/DepthSensor-15873 works with Kinect 360, Kinect V1, Asus Xtion on Windows 10  they should working with recommended hardware, aren't they working for you ?

Looking to their website: https://www.artec3d.com/3d-software/artec-studio#sensors The Azure Kinect DK is not supported, unless their description is outdated I'm 100% it's not supported.

Yes, I don't own one, but, I worked/played with one in a code/meetup group. The Azure Kinect DK is not a consumer product, (DK) stands for a Developer Kit. I don't recommend unless you are experienced developer (Windows/Linux C++).  The product is not ready (outside of a development environment), the SDK is C++ only and there is no wrapper for high level languages C# / Java / Python. The SDK is open source, WIP (Work in Progress), the hardware requirements are high (Intel iCore 5 + GPU). From the usability perspective is far from Kinect v2.

Btw the cameras:  Kinect for Windows V1 (Xbox 360) & V2, Intel RealSense F200, R200 & SR300, PrimeSense Carmine, ASUS Xtion are all deprecated although you can find them on ebay.
