Avg Virus Causing Start Up Questions

The title should say start up problems, not questions but.....I was having problems since the second last update connecting EZB to EZ builder windows. So it seems the only easy way is to turn off the AVG protection, then no problems with EZB connecting in the EZ builder software. So I just updated now to the newest updates and still same problem,AVG will do a scan of EZ builder and then say it's all good but EZB will still not connect it will just say this is not an EZB?Once I turn off AVG protection then EZB connects properly....Just a heads up if anyone else gets this issue with connecting, try turning off your Virus protection.I am sure it is just a simple firewall modification but I have no time right now to check that.

Just get rid of your anti virus software... On pretty much every computer I have ever owned the first thing I do is remove any installed anti virus software... Never had a computer virus to this day...

That is not necessarily wise advice. I have had AV software stop attempted viruses, although if you keep your system patched and never download any software except from well established sites you are relatively safe.

However, Windows Defender, the built in AV that comes with Windows 10 has lately been scoring very high in all comparison tests and has the least performance impact or interference with legitimate applications of any AV I have used. It is certainly good enough for the vast majority of users, and is what I use on all of my computers except my work computer which is required to use an enterprise version of Symantec (and which does cause performance issues and false positives....).

Hey guys I did turn my Windows defender on and totally deleted the free AVG and no more problems, seems that Defender has had some major improvements, really liking it now.
