Asked

I have a question regarding the ARC Remote UI app. On the Interface Builder skill page, I observed that there is only one available link for downloading the app, which redirects to the Google Play Store. However, my friend exclusively uses an Apple Phone and would like to control his ARC project using that device.
Will the app available on the Google Play Store also function on Apple devices in addition to Android?
If the app is compatible with Apple devices, is the installation process on an Apple phone similar to how I installed it on my Android phone?
Thank you!

The Remote UI app is unavailable on apple devices because Apple did not approve the application. Therefore, it is limited to Android - which does not really have an approval process.
Interesting. Thanks.
I remember it had to do with physical robots. They have some rule that your app can’t be blocked be needing other software or hardware. It should be able to run on its own. Which is ridiculous because a Remote Desktop app needs other hardware and software as well - but they approved those.
Thankfully you can buy cheap android tablets for a few bucks these days
