I can't replicate the problem following what you did exactly, the latest ARC (2014.09.27.00) works just fine. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling it?
Windows does some strange things with cached .net assemblies. Sometimes you'll find two of the same assemblies - it's real weird. The solution is usually a reboot. Worst case is an uninstall Reboot and install

I'll take a look to see if there is any exception handling i'm not doing - but i'm pretty good at wrapping everything in TRY CATCH
