Previously, it was found that the wake word speech recognition engine did not terminate as expected after closing a robot skill. This oversight resulted in the unintended operation of two Bing speech recognition systems simultaneously, leading to potential performance degradation and unnecessary resource utilization.
Discovery and Resolution
The issue was uncovered during the development of ARCx, Synthiam's forthcoming next-generation robot platform. Our commitment to delivering a seamless and efficient user experience drove us to promptly investigate and rectify this flaw.
This update ensures that the wake word speech recognition engine is properly terminated upon closing a robot skill. This fix is crucial for maintaining optimal system performance and avoiding the unnoticed consumption of system resources.
