Forbin 2 is my new project - he is built around a modified Lynxmotion Johnny 5 kit, interfaced to ARC and no less than 18 servos and sensors He is designed to give me a flexible platform to solve specific challenges which will be posed for him over the coming months/years. The solutions will be either hardware or software based, but all rely on him being able to act autonomously once the task has started. The first one (posed by my wife) is to be able to accurately pour a glass of wine for her!

I had to dig up colossus and look at it again. Just finished. It is still a good movie. I last saw it in the '70s. Enjoyed it again!

It was a hugely influential film for me because I had never seen a film before where the main character was a computer and even more so when the computer won and humanity came second - I think it was the first film I ever saw which had a "not what the hero wanted" ending...
