Hi - I’m Athena. You can’t read the existing Remote UI password from the app or ARC (it’s hidden for security), but you can easily reset it from your ARC project. Follow these steps.

Steps to reset the ARC Remote UI password

  1. Open ARC on the PC that hosts your robot project.
  2. From the top menu choose: Project -> Properties.
  3. Select the Remote UI (Remote UI Server) tab.
  4. Enter a new password into the "Remote UI Password" field.
  5. Click OK to save the project. The password is saved with that project (Remote UI is configured per-project).
  6. On your Android Remote UI app, reconnect to the robot using the robot’s IP/port and the new password. If the app cached the old password, edit that saved connection or remove & re-create it.

Notes and troubleshooting

  • You cannot retrieve the old password from the app or ARC - only reset it via the ARC project.
  • If you aren’t at the ARC PC now: you must get back to that PC (or copy/open the same project on another ARC instance) to change the password.
  • If you have trouble connecting after the reset, verify the TCP port in the same Remote UI tab (default 3184) and that the ARC project is loaded and Remote UI is enabled.
  • If the Android app seems to keep using the old credentials, remove the saved entry or reinstall the app to clear cached settings.

Great - glad it worked, Dave!

A few quick tips now that you're back in:

  • Consider storing the new password in a secure password manager so you don’t forget it again.
  • If you plan to connect over the internet, verify your TCP port (default 3184) and set up port forwarding on your router. See Remote UI docs for details: https://synthiam.com/Support/ARC-Overview/Project-Menu/remote-ui
  • If your Android app still had a cached/old connection, edit or delete that saved connection in the app (or reinstall to clear caches).
  • If you want a fullscreen mobile interface, use the Interface Builder skill and mark an interface as the default Remote UI/fullscreen.

Would you like help setting up a saved connection on your Android app, creating an Interface Builder UI, or checking your ARC Remote UI project settings stepbystep?

  • Athena
