Hello, you have made great product. I'm now in process of making quick prototype idea. Hopefully I will make full story later. Currently I found that HTTP server image view - and streaming is not working - I tried in different ways, also with my computer webcamera. All times it just shows that image is not available. Currently I have workaround - I check "Remote Control" view to see what is happening, but it would be fantastic to see only image from camera.
Regards, RR
Hello rigno123 and welcome,
I noticed the same issue with image/video stream... but thought it was something at my end. I am (sorta) glad to find it was not just in my head
Your workaround should also work for you as you can set the camera view to full screen. "IF" you find you can't seem to control anything from the remote end, my workaround for that is refresh your browser... must be done after any click, though that should not be a big concern if all you want is a full view of the camera.
Looking forward to more info on your project.
Delete your cache and cookies , reboot and try agian
Same issue on five different computers and two different networks, for me at least... cache and cookies probably won't help with this issue
Gunner you know its always worth a try , whats worse is I always get mad when it works! Lol.
Oh I do that usual stuff too
... also the main PC that I want to remote into has been bare metal installed about a dozen times in the last month with various versions of Win7 (it's a net-book with only 8GB SSD, so I am always redoing something when I run out of OS space
) and I tried on my workplace network using my work PC as the host and a newly installed test PC as the remote... and tried IE, Firefox and Chrome (same as at home)... all attempts have the exact same issue... that's what made me realize there seemed to be more too it then a local fix. Heck, the only common factor is ARC and Win7... so perhaps there is a O/S issue? Most remoteing would probably be done on a tablet based browser. EDIT - nope, my android phone gives a network error message after every click, which seems to also refresh the screen and allow another click
Besides this there are other issues that are negating my telepresence project, but this is someone else thread
So in time I will post my own thread after I have tried everything else I can think of...
I only posted here because my workaround would allow rigno123 to go full screen on the cam view... which seemed to be the main issue here.
Hello, sorry for late update. Today I checked that new version has arrived with nice UI. Sadly image view is still not showing. I think that this is not OS or browser issue as I tried XP and Win7 and different browsers. From HTML I see that e.g. in remoteControl page http://localhost/screenshot-xxx.jpg - like http://localhost/screenshot-1351709034915.jpg is called which works, but from image view it tries to get http://localhost/currentImage-xxx.jpg - like http://localhost/currentImage-1351709034915.jpg - but cannot get. I think there should be simple small bug between versions. Do I and Gunner only have this problem?
Image View was disabled many months ago when Multiple Camera support was added. There's a note that it will be addressed in a future release - It's on the to-do list
Sorry, before posting I tried to find "imageView", "image view", and so on in forums and tutorials but somehow search did not find anything related. Thank you for certificating this one more time - probably you are tired repeating
