I Thought I Seen DJ Had A Way To Calibrate Motor Wheels Without Using Encoders?

Hi all.

I thought I seen a post from DJ on how to simulate wheel encoders without having the encoder.  Please correct me if I'm wrong or please post a link showing how to configure them?
