FT232RL To EZB UART Connection

Is it possible to connect an FT232RL USB-to-serial adapter to an EZB controller using the UART TX, RX, and GND pins, instead of connecting to the camera port with those same pins? I've attempted this setup without success. I assume there's a difference between the UART pins and the camera port pins. I'm utilizing the Connection robot skill in this setup.

You don't need any settings - simply selecting the COM port and pressing the START button would be enough. However, the wiring is important. RX to TX and vice versa. Also i believe the camera's RTS needs to be held low? It's documented in that link we shared above. But at the top of my head i "think" it's rts low.

or actually. if your device has an rts and cts, connect those to the camera. RTS connects to CTS and vice versa - just like TX to RX.
