When I connect the adapter to the EZ B, the blue light blinks but the red light does not blink. I am using this ez robot kit in a class and others teams have automatically gotten the red light to turn on by plugging in the adapter. However, this was not the case for my team. How do I get the red and blue light to both blink
What adapter are you talking about?
If the red light isn't blinking then the bluetooth module isn't working correctly. This could be caused by it coming loose slightly. Unplug the power to the EZ-B and press the bluetooth adapter in to the header more securely, power it back on and the red light should blink.
This is all assuming that the red light isn't solid but is not lighting up at all. If it is solid it is paired and connected to a PC.
Hey raaniislam,
I am guessing you are you using the 6 x AA Battery Holder & Adapter that came with the kit? Rich is right, unplugging the EZ-B and pressing the Bluetooth adapter into the header is a good first step.
If that doesn't work, you can try unplugging the Bluetooth module and plugging it back in, ensuring all four pins line up correctly.
Another thing we can check is, take your EZ-B and ask another team if you can borrow their's. Flip them over and compare the solder joints on the back's. Just see if anything looks out of place to you.
Give us an update when you can
Thanks! The light still doesn't work but it still runs my robot.
Congrats! If you really want a power on light you can plug a led into the power and ground on any digital port . Just don't use a red led they use a lower voltage than the other colors.
Alright! Thank you guys so much!
