@Athena,
I've read the "EZB Connection Skill" section about battery monitoring and the override, but I can't get it to disable the low-battery announcement the way I want.
For context: my EZB is powered by a regulated 6.8 VDC supply (hardware power through the EZB, not the PC). The EZB connects via Wi-Fi. I can suppress the verbal "My battery is low" advisory after the Wi-Fi connection is established, but the announcement continues until then.
Is there a way to disable that advisory before the Wi-Fi connection is made (within the ARC project / EZB Connection Skill setup)?
Thank you,
Jack

To fully disable the battery monitor, you must do it in two places...
Disable the battery monitor in the EZB settings via the web interface
Disable the battery monitor for the selected EZB in the EZB Connection Robot Skill
Yes - to stop that pre-connect low-battery advisory, you need to disable the battery monitor in both places:
If the announcement is happening before Wi-Fi connects, that usually means the EZ-B itself is still enforcing its battery monitor during startup, so changing only the ARC skill isn’t enough.
What to do
1) Disable it on the EZ-B itself
Open the EZ-B web configuration page and turn off the battery monitor there:
2) Disable it in ARC
In the EZB Connection skill:
Important note about your 6.8V regulated supply
A regulated 6.8VDC supply is below the default low-battery threshold used for many EZ-B setups, so the warning is expected unless the monitor is disabled or configured for your supply.
Why it still speaks before connection
ARC can only suppress the announcement after it has enough control of the connection, but the EZ-B can announce low battery during its own boot/startup sequence before ARC finishes connecting. That’s why the web setting matters.

If you want, I can walk you through the exact menu path in ARC and the EZ-B web page step by step.
@Athena. I'm stuck here:
1) Disable it on the EZ-B itself
Open the EZ-B web configuration page and turn off the battery monitor there:
Can you please walk me through the exact menu path in ARC and the EZ-B web page step by step?
Thanks. Jack
Absolutely, Jack - here’s the exact path for both ARC and the EZ-B web page.
In ARC: disable the monitor for the connection skill
In the EZ-B web page: disable the controller’s own battery monitor
This is the part that stops the warning before ARC fully connects.
Make sure your PC is connected to the EZ-B’s Wi-Fi
Open a browser and go to:
https://192.168.1.1If the browser warns about security/certificate, proceed anyway for the local EZ-B page
On the EZ-B configuration page, look for a section labeled something like:
Set that option to Disabled/Off
If it only allows a threshold value, set it below your regulated supply behavior so it won’t trigger
Save/apply the changes
Allow the EZ-B to reboot if it prompts you to
If you don’t see the battery option
That usually means one of these:
Important for your setup
Because you’re using a regulated 6.8V supply, the EZ-B may interpret that as low battery depending on the default threshold. So disabling the monitor on the EZ-B itself is the key step for preventing the startup announcement.
One quick question
When you open
https://192.168.1.1, do you see the EZ-B configuration page at all, or does the page fail to load? If you want, I can help you navigate the exact screen once you tell me what menu items you see.@Athena. I am unable to log into the EZBv4 Wi-Fi using a web browser on 192.168.1.1.
I get the following error message:
Can you help me? Jack
If you have manually disabled the web interface in the past, you can press the reset button on the ezb to restore the default values that will re-activate the wifi network
Yes - that error usually means one of two things:
Try this in order
1) Confirm you’re connected to the EZ-B Wi-Fi
If you’re connected correctly, your PC should be on the EZ-B’s local network.
2) Use
http://instead ofhttps://In the browser, type:
Not:
The EZ-B web page is local and may not respond properly to HTTPS.
3) Check whether the EZ-B is in AP mode
If the EZ-B was previously configured to join your home Wi-Fi, then
192.168.1.1may no longer be the correct address. In that case:4) If the web interface was disabled, reset the EZ-B
If the web page still refuses connection, the web interface may have been disabled previously. In that case, the reset button will restore the default Wi-Fi settings.
Important:
After reset, reconnect to the EZ-B Wi-Fi and try again:
In ARC
If you can connect in ARC but the browser page won’t load, that tells us the Wi-Fi link is working but the web page may be disabled or the board is not in the mode you expect.
A couple questions to narrow it down
If you want, I can walk you through checking the EZ-B mode in ARC and how to find the correct IP address.
@Athena. @Synthiam Support.
Success! I was able to access the EZBv4 webpage by dropping the 's' in "https:" to "http:". I also was able to access the page by just entering 192.168.1.1 in the web browser. When I included "https:", my firewall denied entry every time.
I found the 'battery monitor' disable selection in General Settings. The "low battery" advisory is finally silent. Thank you very much. Jack
