why doesnt child,teen,or senior work in the speech settings in ARC

same here, just tested, nothing works, no matter what settings still the default female voice, im on windows 7
check MELS post on female voice ,i added info on how to change female voice in WINDOWS 7 to a male voice

also microsoft SAM DOES WORK with WINDOWS XP PRO
