Does this mean launch date is imminent?

Community beta will be announced shortly. Reviewing the outstanding items required for a community beta doesn’t look too bad. I’m guessing sometime in august? But last time I made a guess I got in trouble cause it was waaaaaaay off so maybe I should keep my mouth (fingers) shut haha

during community beta is when the robot skills will be developed - and finishing touches on the outstanding items. I know the Athena integration has a few delays because there’s a new tech that we’re waiting to add with it. Uhm, I know the custom interface designer was delayed because no one is sure the best way to implement it yet - given that there’s a few ways.

So that’s about all I know presently. The cameras are working. The audio is working. I think that about covers the real hard stuff!

@nomad, the product being discussed is ARCx, which is not ARC. They are separate products with different use cases. Existing ARC will continue and receive bug fixes as necessary.

However, if you’re a windows user, ARCx is fine to use. The challenges are introduced when Linux is used, because it is a difficult operating system. Synthiam will not be able to provide support for how to use any of the thousand Linux distributions. It’s expected that someone using ARCx on Linux is familiar with using Linux. As such, compiling libraries and installing modules will be necessary experience.
