My ideal robot is a home companion robot with connected features and tele-presence enabled. this would enable me to roam around the house while I am travelling while being able to monitor the going ons around the house. It should have some basic object manipulation ability, in order for me to interact with the world around it. Perhaps help to feed the pets too?
