No Bluetooth Icon In System Tray / Devices And Printers

I just received my EZ-Robot V3 and I'm stuck on step 1. No bluetooth icon appears in the system tray or devices and printers window. I am using the bluetooth USB included with the EZB3 kit and the board is powered up brand new batteries. both LED's active. I am running on a Lenovo G575 win7 64bit. There are what appear to be current bluetooth drivers in the windows system 32 drivers folder, but if they were working the device should show up right? Something else weird is that my computer detects the wireless camera, but only with the bluetooth USB plugged in, indicating the bluetooth USB must be receiving a signal. Is there any way to rule out a defective board without being able to connect? I'm hoping somebody on here has encountered and solved this problem.

Please Help! Thanks

The dongle that comes with the kit is for the USB camera, not bluetooth. You'll need to buy a separate bluetooth dongle if you don't already have one.

Ah ha. thank you Choyster, I guess it makes sense that its not included in the kit, as many roboteers probably have bluetooth built in. I wish Santa Claus would have known though. happy holidays to you.

DJ sells them for $4. I just checked and BestBuy has them for like $12 if you don't want to wait.

Happy Holidays!
