Df Robot L298p Twin V1.1 Motor Shield

Has anyone had any experience with this motor controler.

Is a DF Robot L298P-Twin V1.1.

I went to DFrobot.com and couldnt find any info on it.

What I am trying to do is to run two servos for the arms on my Bot.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I am going to continue to search but you guys have been so helpful so I though I would attack on two fronts :D

Rich if you can anwser this one too I owe you a pint if I make it to the UK.

Thanks,

Michael

Hi Michael,

I know that DFrobot products are often very similar to other products on the market, in this case it's very close to the Sparkfun Ardumoto Shield. You may find some clarification on their site.

With an L298 based motor driver I have heard from the designer of that circuit that it is best to PWM an input line rather than an Enable line.

I would also try adding what Rich has recommended to a script and fool around with it a bit and when you are comfortable you could then move to calling the script with a "ControlCommand" call.
