For scifi without robots, I agree with Alan - to me, one of the best scifi shows ever was Firefly! I have been watching it again and just love everything about this show.
Score 5 out of 5
Favorite science fiction is "Star Trek", all series and all movie and of course Data is a huge inspiration for me.
But "Short Circuit", Johnny 5 for me when I was a child that whole movie was the best. It had a positive vibe that one day a robot like that could be created.
I also really like the "Terminator" saga especially "Terminator 2".
I also appreciate the epic evil genius of Luther in "Runaway". The plot was he was making evil control chips to place in robots....it really made no sense, but somehow it was AWESOME until his exploding spider bots turned on him! (I hate when that happens!)
