Changed router 192.168.2.1

disabled wired connection

Tried again to connect to ez-b... by wifi of hp.

Can see it but can not connect to it.

J stress stress stress

p.s. just a thought enable wire, but then unplug and see what happens... j

Yep, you have at least eliminated the issue I mentioned and will be able to connect to your network via your wired network and your v4 via the wifi. I personally would have chosen client mode on the v4 but you might have a reason not to go with that.

There is for sure an issue with the NIC, but an issue has been avoided. I would recommend flushing dns on all of your computers if you haven't already.

#19

Why don't you just put your EZB4 in client mode?... Then you won't have any trouble connecting to it....

#20

pulled the wire and try to connect no go.

plugged in usb nic and able to connect to ezb...

@d.cochran

flushing on windows devices, others are working fine.

still no go with hp wifi nic even after flush... lol

j

#21

@jdebay, there should be no reason to pull the wire on the wired NIC anymore. 192.168 and 10.10 networks wont ever show up outside of your local network. Those are reserved and not routed outside of your local network. HP NIC is definitely an issue.

May I ask why you haven't set this up in Client mode yet?

#22

This ez-b v4 will always stay in ap mode. It is my outside robot. He goes outside my wifi range and he goes on walks with me... lol

@d.cochran I think that you have missed the point of what I am doing...

I am trying to help DJ.

Other Hp/compaq owners are having connect issues with their systems and ez-b v4.

j

p.s. second wifi on hp solved it. But I want to know how to fix the hp wifi so it connects to ezb's That is all folks. jad

#23

I didnt miss the point. I knew you were trying to help out. I was just wondering if your robot would be in building or outside away from wifi.

All good, I didn't mean to upset if I did, just was trying to get a clear picture of what the purpose of you using AP mode was. I am using you as an example in my next class and was hoping that would be your answer.

#24

For class...

If testing outside know the limit of your wifi range, why you ask, he (garden-bot) ran away, he goes 3-4 miles, if motors are at highest speed. I am 66 years old and I ran after him, just like a small kid and grand parent, you would have been lol for real. Thankful he ran into some sand and then to a small hill and I caught him.

This taught me reduce motor speed and change to ap mode, so that is the full story and yes you can share this story with your class.

j

I just need to finish weatherize him so he can live in his shed during rain and snow storms. Yes goes over packed snow okay. j
