Change Release Notes
This is a long awaited release of ARC
. You will notice some new controls, and much quicker interface. Some new features are:
- Connection Control allows script to be executed on established connection
- Sound servo allows servos to be controlled by sound input of a microphone
- Multiple servo allows many servos to be controlled at once
- Joystick control re-written to fix errors on some unusual USB joystick responses
- Soundboard now plays WAVs and MP3s
- Soundboard can have unlimited number of audio files
- Ping Radar has improved object avoidance and self navigation
- Ping Radar has increment steps to move scanning servo quicker
- Ping Radar displays debug information to help
- Camera has more options and increased stability when tracking objects
- Roomba Movement Panel now self initializes
There are many more enhancements that you will notice. There are a few controls that read "not implemented" when you load them. They are in development and will be released hopefully soon. I have a few other items being worked on also. Expect another release very soon
*Warning This new ARC version will not be compatible with some previous controls. Specifically the SoundBoard Control. If your existing project used a SoundBoard Control, then it will need to be removed from the project before loading this version.

I just downloaded the update and it looks great. cant wait to play with the floor mapping and the different script controls.

I can not download the new version. I am still new at this, so I thing I am doing something wrong.
Within ARC after I connected to the EZ-B I go to utilites the show firmware version. I get EZ-B reports firmware V12. Under utilites I check got latest version. I get a new version is available (2011.10.22.00)
When I got into EZ-B firmware update it tells me I have the latest version.

Those are two different things...
2)The Firmware is what sits on the chip.
Only the ARC software has been updated, not the firmware. You can download the latest copy of ARC by checking for the latest version, then downloading and installing it
You may have to uninstall your old version first.
You can ignore anything to do with the Firmware in this release
