Thanks irobot58... Wait 'til she finds out I took it apart... Even though it works infinitely better with EZb on board, not sure she'll share the same excitement at why I gutted him in the first place... ;) I'll just have to gear his personality more towards entertaining her more now...

Right now I have basically just mimicked his original programming but plans are to replace with an EZB4 board with camera... As I become more seasoned with ARC I plan to seriously going to dig into creating way more sophisticated software and command routines as well...

Thanks for the comments

Wow, Very cool. I have one of these that I will be rebuilding with an EZB like you have done. I can only hope it turns out as cool and well done as yours is. Well done!

Thanks everyone... He still needs a lot more work, especially the software department... When I get my V4 boards I'll open him up and show a partial assembly vid as well as a more detailed look at all the updates I'll have done in ARC

Awesome,

When you get the V4 , and do take him apart again , would be great if you could take some snap shots
in side on setup , batteries , and motor wiring setup ( hbridge ?)

also will you be uploading the script to the cloud.

Thanks

Hais.

Yep, I will do a V4 write up and a new video and pictures to boot... To answer another question, I am using a sabertooth 2 x 5 motor controller to drive the motors...

@rryerson- Great video. Great R2-D2. Nice work.

Thanks and I planning many more updates.... I do want to give credit where credit is due... For starters Rich and DJ both have knowingly or unknowingly helped me with getting the grips on using ARC scripts.... Rich, I owe you a Guiness and DJ, I promise to spend more money in the EZ Robot store :D

Your R2 is looking very good.
You have programmed him well.
I might add an EZ-B to one of my R2 units.
Will you be adding any arms or moving panels to your R2?

@Richard R - We are really excited to see the new write-up and video when using the EZ-B v4 with R2D2:)

Lol... thanks guys... currently my 2 V4 boards are being used in other projects... However, I have more V4s on order with you guys so he will eventually be updated when I get my other orders shipped...

Awesome! Be careful about that wheel-y-ing going on there. I was going to do this but I decided $200 for the r2 was too much.

Nice job so far Richard. He is really cool. I did laugh out loud when he started to dance and his shriek at the mention of Darth Vadors name :P. Great stuff and look forward to the improvements and V4 upgrade you have planned.

Thanks Steve.... That was my first robot build using EZB.... I was pretty green then.... I am currently working on a pretty much scratch built Wall-e using the EZB4.... Hopefully it will be way better than my R2...
