Not Working Correctly

Question

Just got my awesome jd. One of the arm pieces does not appear to bend thoughts? please help!

Do not bend the parts by hand. You can only move servos by their own power. Are you referring to the servo not moving when the connected and using the robot from the software? Oh and welcome to the group

Yes, it is not moving when powered and trying to use through the iPad app. Also, tried to download the software on our computer but we have a Mac. Suggestions to be able to open it or convert it would be helpful! Thanks!

Is the wire connected correctly - meaning, does the BLACK wire match the BLACK side of the EZ-B connection? Here's a video example  Additionally, if it is connected correctly - does the servo vibrate, make a noise or is it stiff while the computer is connected? Or is it lose and moves around while connected?

We have calibrated like 5 times. All other parts connect and move during it, but that one won't?!

To determine if it is a bad servo or a bad digital port on the EZ-B, swap connections with one of the other servos and see if the problem follows the servo or the port. I would not run the sample JD project for this test, just create a simple project with two servo controls, one for each port, and see if they move when you set the minimum and maximum values. I understand you are knew to this. If you don't know how to do that, post which two ports you are swapping and I will make a simple project for you to download and test with. Alan

Perfect - long as the understanding of calibration vs fine tune is understood - those are different steps. The next step is to perform what alan had recommended. Connect the servo to a different empty port, such as port D23. And perform the following 1) New project 2) Connect to the EZ-B 3) Project -> Add Control -> Servos -> Horizontal Servo 4) Press configure on the horizontal servo control 5) Press the port configuration button that currently reads N/A and select D23 6) Click and drag the min and max values. If you are connected to the robot, the servo should actually move through this step. If the servos didn't move while selecting the Min and Max position - then it is indeed damaged.
