While supplies last, in addition to the BOGO deal, and regular internet discounts and/or free shipping coupon codes, they are also including extra stuff in orders if you order uneven numbers. The BOGO deal is mix and match, but they have already packaged things in packs of two. I ordered 3 rotation and 5 lever servos. I got 4 rotation and 6 levers with no extra charge for the two extra servos and was able to use a 15% off and free shipping coupon codes.
Obviously not something you can count on, but if you needs servos anyway or the other EZ-Bits they sell, might as well do a ix and match so the individual types are uneven and you could luck out too.
Alan
Did you really get anything extra for less money? I mean, if you ordered 1 servo you could get a second one free anyway. So if you order 1 and they send you 1, you pay the same price as if you had ordered 2 in the first place. It's $20 either way. They don't reduce the price to $10 for ordering just 1. Basically it's all the same to them.
Yeah, I ordered 8 servos, for which I paid the price of 4. I got 10 delivered. It was the mix and match where I benefited.
They say you can order 1 rotation and 1 lever, and one of them will be free. But they already packed all the lever and rotations in packs of 2, and they didn't break the packs to fulfill my order, they just included 2 extra servos (one of each type) at no additional cost.
Alan
I wonder if someone just goofed on your order. I recently ordered from them and got what I ordered without extras.
It is certainly possible it was a one time thing, which is why I said not to count on it, but if you are ordering anyway, order in uneven numbers by part, but even numbers overall, and it might be new policy as they clear out inventory.
Alan
I didn't order an odd number of servos, I ordered an odd mix in the mix and match. 8 total, but 5 of one type and 3 of the other. They sent me 10 and charged me for 4. 2 free.
I also ordered other stuff but in even numbers and got bogo pricing on those.
Thanks, thetechguru, just put my order in for 7 lever, 2 rotation servos and a 4-in-1, came up to 99.95, then got 20 off on the coupon. Great deal! Can't wait for them to come in so I can start working on my Bi-ped.
Alan, not nice...
because of you i end up spending money i went to the local store and i bought a JD (199).
my kids don't know yet, i will have it for my self for a few days, leave some loose wires if they ask, i'm working on it.
The store still have a few sensors like the 4 in 1 and other stuff, but no no deal pay 1 take 2.
if anyone knows:
the JD kit as the camera inside the head, it's possible to buy the plastic case to fit the camera and use in a Six ?
I read somewhere there was new version of the EZ camera how can i identify if i have the new one ?
Brookstone did not get the new camera. The old one is a 2 board design, the new one is one board and a big heat sink.
You can try contacting EZ-Robot to see if they can send you just the case for a camera (it is not available in the store) , or the STL is available so you print one or have it printed for you.
Alan
check! camera has 2 boards. Thanks for the tip.
